The Menton Lemon Festival (Fête du Citron) is one of the French Riviera's most distinctive events, held each February in the small coastal town of Menton. Since 1934, artists have constructed enormous sculptures — entire scenes, monuments, and fantastical figures — built entirely from lemons and oranges, using over 140 tonnes of citrus fruit each year.
