Bali is untouched (Hindu), ideal for tourists.

World's biggest Muslim country observes Ramadan dramatically. Jakarta slows down — workdays shorten, commute times shift, malls reconfigure for evening takjil (iftar snack) markets. Yogyakarta's Sekaten Ramadan market at the Sultan's Palace. Bedug drums mark iftar time from every mosque. Bali is mostly unaffected (Hindu island) — ideal for non-Muslim travelers.
