I believe AI is most important technology of the last few decades. It is a solution looking for problems to solve. It would be a shame to use it as an extension of existing solutions.
Travel is one of those problems. The most striking revelation was that travel is, for the most part, is actually limited not by places people want to travel to, but by their preferences. I will explain this in detail in the next paragraph. Travel is one of the largest industries in the world (huge numbers, but a distraction to the point I am trying to make) so the physical infrastructure(hotels, airline, commute, restaurant etc) to support is just excellent. Even if you live in a continent a few thousand KMs away, you can book a flight to Japan and get there in a few hours, and have a life changing 7 days!
See, most of us, if we are lucky would get to travel to top 20 places in the world.
